Our expert panel will delve in to the topic of Creativity; as a small taster we asked each panellist 3 short questions about what creativity means to them.  We begin by bringing you David Smalley’s answers:

Where do you go for inspiration?
There is no one place but there is little doubt that nature has monopoly of great design. Amazing colours, wonderful textures and contrasts. It’s no surprise that most of the best fabric, wall paper and carpet manufactures are awash with wonderful natural images.

When are you most creative?
When I am with someone else! Creativity is just a spark but the best fun is when it’s a catalyst with like minded open people.

What does creativity look like to you?
Impact! Queue the latest Sainsbury’s advert on television, brilliant content, great imagination and I suspect lasting impact with great return on investment. Agencies will often come up with a creative solution but it needs boldness from the client for them to morph from creative to reality.

How would you answer these questions?  We would love to hear your opinions of creativity in our comments section below or on twitter @DesignInsider1
