Sustainability and sound take centre stage at Clerkenwell Design Week 2026.

As the festival marks its 15th anniversary, this year’s programme places a clear focus on circular design and the role of sound in shaping how we experience space, brought to life through a series of large-scale Design Interventions across EC1.

From installations that visualise air quality using recycled materials, to immersive sound-led experiences built from local voices and memories, the programme invites visitors to rethink how design performs, not just how it looks.

Alongside this, a number of brands and designers are exploring circularity in practice, from take-back schemes and recycled materials to furniture made from waste streams.

Discover some of the key installations and ideas to look out for across the week on Design Insider - follow the link in our bio!

📍 19–21 May | London

What makes a hospitality space truly work, not just visually, but in how it feels day to day?

We spoke with Becky, Founder of Studio du Feu, about her evolving approach to F&B design and why experience now sits at the centre of everything she creates.

From shifting away from purely aesthetic thinking to designing spaces that support real, everyday interactions, Becky shares how careful listening, strong narrative and collaboration shape more meaningful outcomes.

Some highlights from the conversation:

• Why understanding a client’s vision goes far beyond the brief
• How travel influences design in subtle, considered ways
• The importance of balancing creativity with practicality

Brought to life through the PaStation project, this is a thoughtful look at how hospitality design is evolving, and what it takes to create spaces that people genuinely connect with.

26 miles. 26 mattresses. One powerful mission. 🛏️🏃‍♂️

Harrison Spinks is turning every mile of the London Marathon into something that truly matters, a safe place for a child to sleep.

This weekend, David Labuschagne (Head of Marketing) will run all 26 miles, and for every mile he completes, a bespoke mattress will be donated to Zarach, helping children experiencing bed poverty.

And this isn’t a one-off.

• 820+ mattresses already donated
• Monthly donations increased by 50%
• 26 more mattresses added through this challenge
• Each one handcrafted and labelled “Made with love in Leeds”

Because for too many children, a good night’s sleep isn’t a given.

This is design, craft and purpose coming together in the most meaningful way, proving that what we create can have a real impact beyond the industry.

If you can, support the run. Every mile makes a difference.
