The sophisticated design of GROHE’s products appeals to design lovers all over the world and also attracts renowned awards on a regular basis. Having amassed 230 design awards in recent years, the brand is delighted to add more accolades to its name this year, including the Red Dot Design Award, the iF Product Design Award, the Iconic Awards: Interior Innovation and the Green Good Design Awards.
Red Dot Design Awards
This year’s line-up of the coveted Red Dot Design Award winners includes two GROHE products that are designed to personalise and improve your showering experience. The waterproof Bluetooth Aquatunes speaker, to be released later this year, and the Grohtherm 800 thermostat have both been awarded this accolade, recognising excellence in design. The stylish and portable wireless Aquatunes speaker lets users enjoy their favourite music in the shower, while the ergonomic design of the Grohtherm 800 is all about ensuring the highest levels of comfort, convenience and safety while showering.
iF Product Design Awards
GROHE enjoyed another double success at the iF Product Design Awards. Both the brand’s updated Essence mixer range and Rainshower® F-Series 40″ AQUASYMPHONY were awarded the renowned iF label. GROHE’s Essence mixer range combines stylish design with innovative technologies, and features a competitive price with basin taps starting from £174. The AQUASYMPHONY shower, not yet released to the UK, is a striking XXL ceiling shower which blends water with light to create a truly luxurious shower experience.
Iconic Awards: Interior Innovation
Three of GROHE’s products have won the Iconic Awards: Interior Innovation. The Eurocube Joy mixer range, featuring a striking cubic design and an innovative joystick lever, the Essence range and Aquatunes shower speaker have all won the accolade. Initiated by imm cologne and organised by the German Design Council, this prize has emerged as a widely accepted mark of distinction in the interior design sector.
Green Good Design Awards
GROHE’s Essence kitchen tap and Minta Touch kitchen tap- which allows you to start the flow of water with a touch from your arm- have both won the Green Good Design award. The prize awards products not only in terms of their design and style but also based on their contribution to energy efficiency and resource conservation. The two products impressed the judges with their strong sustainability profiles extending from development and production, to day-to-day use and post-consumer management.
