Located in the heart of Wokingham, The Rose Inn is a welcoming pub to the local community, that has recently reopened its doors following an extensive refurbishment project by new owners, The Oakman Group.
The Oakman Group, which acquired the empty site in 2019, has re-opened the 19th Century, Grade II Listed pub, following a painstaking £2.1m restoration and redesign, sympathetic to the building’s history and character. With some parts of the original site dating back to the 16th century, the building and courtyard were once part of Wokingham’s historic Burgage Plot.
From the moment you walk through the door – whether it’s for a coffee or drink at the bar, an informal lunch, or a special three course meal – The Rose Inn offers the perfect setting to make their guests feel at home.
Working closely with creative director Maria Hipwell from AParkBench Design, Taylor’s Classics supplied a range of Antique & Reclaimed furniture, including their sustainable reclaimed dining chairs, that are professionally and sympathetically restored for contract use.
Other collections that you will find located in the restaurant and pub areas of The Rose were their Traditional Classics range, including Bromley pedestal dining tables, a selection of traditional dining and lounge chairs and their exclusive cast iron collection. As well as traditional furniture, Taylor’s supplied a selection of modern classics and bespoke manufactured tables to complete the aspired look and feel.
Taylor’s Classics added: “It was a pleasure to work on this exciting project with Oakmann Inns & Maria Hipwell, Maria is very creative & passionate and it’s great to finally see everything come together in situ! We look forward to working on many more projects together in the future.”
