Sarouk, col Patara

So hard to find nowadays, our classic kilims are having somewhat of a resurgence. Found in Soho Farmhouse and the smartest homes – influencer Millie Mackintosh has used the design above on her kitchen stools – they are Linwood through and through. ‘We pride ourselves in embracing both trend-driven collections and the more traditional,’ says Barny Gloyn, Managing Director at Linwood, ‘this collection unusually falls into both camps.’

There are five designs to choose from, which are inspired by kilims rugs our design team discovered in Turkish and Moroccan bazaars. Surprisingly soft to the touch, this range is mainly for upholstery, but more adventurous customers might choose to make heavy curtains or indulgent floor cushions.

Pirot

Classic, earthy colours bring this vertical stripe, based on a Turkish rug to life. Woven using a soft linen blend, this is a great fabric for statement upholstery.

Altai

Warm shades of ochre and burnt sienna imbue this horizontal stripe fabric – woven from a soft linen blend – a charming rustic feel.

Sarouk

This classic kilim design, woven with linen/viscose space dyed yarns, is ideal for loose covers, upholstery and curtains.

Yomut

Linen blend weave with a small-scale motif inspired by a carpet design. This timeless fabric would look beautiful covering a sofa, or even as cushions.

Mahan

A timeless geometric, inspired by a Turkish motif. Woven using a linen mix, this fabric has a soft handle that makes it perfect for upholstery and curtains.
