We asked Tim to tell us more about his piece:  ‘This Chair evolved in response to the title ‘What can furniture makers learn from Grand Designs?’ Clad in cedar with a rough sawn outer and smooth inner, to echo rough roof shingles and fine interior walls. The rusted steel frame provides a strong minimalist foundation for the seat, back and cladding.’

At this huge lifetime milestone we asked Tim about his plans for the future:  ‘Future plans include exploring the commercial opportunities of this chair and not only furnishing my own home but building it too.’
