Laufen and Roca open Sydney Gallery, a new hub for architecture and design in Australia
Roca Group, a global leader in bathroom solutions, has officially opened Sydney Gallery, a new design-led space that becomes part of its international network of Galleries developed worldwide.

Roca Group is the global leader in the design, manufacturing, and sale of bathroom products for architecture, construction, and interior design. Founded in 1917, it combines tradition and knowledge with a passion for innovation and respect for the environment, in order to meet the demands of customers and contribute to improving the well-being of society.
LAUFEN is a premium brand under the ROCA umbrella and one of the world’s leading manufacturers of sanitaryware and bathroom furniture, with a global distribution network. For more than 125 years, the company has used ceramic—the oldest malleable material known to humankind—to create innovative sanitary products in state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities.
Located in Surry Hills, Sydney Gallery reinforces the Group’s commitment to architecture, design culture and professional exchange, bringing together its two global brands Laufen and Roca within a shared spatial framework. Curated as a design-driven space, Sydney Gallery moves beyond the logic of a conventional showroom, placing architecture and design at the centre of the project.

Conceived as an active space for presentation and exchange, it expresses a vision of the bathroom as a place of wellbeing, innovation and contemporary living, while serving as a platform for professional exchange and industry dialogue.
Xavi Torras, Roca Group Communications Director said:
“The opening of Sydney Gallery represents an important milestone for Roca Group in Australia. This new space reflects our commitment to design, architecture and professional exchange and reinforces our long-term vision for the market.”
Connecting global design with local context

The project occupies a two-level heritage building in Surry Hills and has been designed by the international architecture and design practice DKO. The space preserves elements of the original architecture, reinterpreting them to create a contemporary environment where light, materials and circulation shape a fluid architectural experience.
Sydney Gallery presents the proposals of Laufen and Roca through differentiated environments that reflect the identity of each brand, showcasing advanced bathroom solutions that combine design, technological innovation and sustainability.
Part of an international network of Galleries

Sydney Gallery forms part of Roca Group’s global network of cultural and design spaces, conceived as platforms for the exchange of ideas and reflection on architecture, design and contemporary ways of living. This network includes spaces in cities such as Barcelona, Berlin, Madrid, Lisbon, London, Shanghai, Beijing and São Paulo, and was recently expanded with the opening of Delhi Gallery in December 2025, the Group’s first Gallery in India. This new space reinforces the company’s international presence in one of its strategic markets and contributes to the global dialogue between design, innovation and sustainability.
Following this philosophy, Sydney Gallery is also conceived as a forum for architects, designers, specifiers and industry professionals in Australia, hosting events, presentations and encounters that explore the role of architecture and design in contemporary life.
