RESONATE INTERIORS DESIGN CREATES NEW ALPHA BANK HEADQUARTERS, LONDON

We have been blown away by the world class standard of London case studies we have been able to bring to you this month!  Today we are thrilled to show you Resonate Interior’s work for the new Alpha Bank Headquarters, London.

Resonate have had the privilege to work with Alpha Bank London on designing their new HQ on King William Street in the heart of the city of London. The challenge was to maximise views with a doughnut shape floor plate, to provide authenticity and elegance in a neutral CAT A space.

Alpha bank London were located in a very traditional environment in Cannon street small floor plates on many levels, which was not conducive to new ways of working or the modern workplace and did not provide a hugely welcoming client suite. The new space was one contiguous floor plate and Resonate set about working with Alpha to provide an amazing client experience and a truly modern and supportive workplace. The results are a stunning individual space that is calm, deeply detailed, considered and represents the ethos of this heritage bank.

On entry visitors and staff are greeted with a serene reception space encompassing beautifully appointed seating areas with light features over and a gleaming glass and marble reception desk, flanked by marble panels providing an air of solidity and elegance. Meeting rooms were designed to surround this space so an easy transition from one area to the next. These are constructed of glazed partitions in bronze framework and a Greek logo manifestation with a nod to their culture. All finishes in a muted and sophisticated colour scheme of taupe’s and bronzes.

The Office side was also designed in keeping with the front of house in a soft and sophisticated palette but with contemporary furniture. It follows the same language as the client facing areas but allows for a modern workplace with, Flokk, Task and Forma 5 furniture all setting the scene for a professional and well-appointed environment.

The café / breakout area for staff is attractively considered with marble self-serve counter and coffee point and a variety of seating options to accommodate agile working and lunch time meetings and gatherings. A variety of suppliers contributed to this area from Vitra, Senator and Morgan furniture. This area also reflects and combines the finishes from the rest of the office, so is harmonious and has feature walls incorporating the Alpha logo in a bronze film.

Overall a scheme that reflects values, heritage and gives confidence to staff and clients alike. It incorporates modern working practices, classic materials and clever space planning and it is one that Resonate are very proud of.

BCFA members who supplied this project include Morgan and Lyndon Design.
